HESLER, Emma Glascock

Waynetown, Dec 21 – Mrs. Emma Hesler, 82, died at 3:20 o’clock this afternoon at her home, five miles east of Waynetown on Road 34. She had been in declining health for the past two years and was seriously ill for four weeks, but her death came as a sudden shock to the family.  Mrs. Hesler was born June 6, 1851 near Veedersburg, the daughter of George F. and Barbara J. Bever Glascock. She was married Dec 29, 1880 to Benton F. Hesler, who survives. She was a member of the First Christian Church at Crawfordsville and formerly was an active member of the Pythian Lodge in Waynetown. She spent all her life in Fountain and Montgomery Counties, living for the most part in the vicinity of Hillsboro, Waynetown or Crawfordsville.  Besides the husband, the survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J. Frank Foxworthy of near Crawfordsville and Mrs. Ernest Pegg of Richmond; three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Otto Wuthrick of Hillsboro.  Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the home east of here with Rev. JH Wilson, pastor of the Christian Church in Crawfordsville officiating. Burial will be at the Waynetown Masonic cemetery. – kbz
